Miami-Dade and the Keys Branch Meeting – Tour of Brickell Financial Center (LEED Building)
| February 17, 2010 | 5:00 pm | to | 8:00 pm |
Location: Brickell Financial Centre (building site), 600 Brickell Avenue, Miami, FL 33131
The Miami-Dade and the Keys Branch of the USGBC South Florida Chapter has an enviable track record of hosting outstanding educational programs, and the February meeting is no exception.
Attendees this month will have the opportunity to tour a major Class-A, LEED-CS registered office building in the heart of downtown Miami. The developer of Brickell Financial Centre and its A/E team will present a short lecture on the major LEED-related strategies in the building, followed by a tour of the building under construction. The general contracting team will lead the tour, highlighting the features of this LEED building. Attendees will experience first-hand the challenges and opportunities encountered by the project team — truly a rare educational opportunity.
Our registration and meet-’n'-greet runs from 5:30-6:30pm. From 6:30-6:40pm we conduct a quick general business meeting, and our educational presentation and tour runs from 6:40-8pm.
Our Branch meetings are free to USGBC members, and non-members are charged a nominal $10 admission fee to help cover meeting costs. To join the USGBC, click here or you can join at the meeting.
Top-shelf education, delectable edibles, a terrific venue, and great fun — what better way to spend a Wednesday evening! Please come out and join in … and bring a friend! The more you get involved with the Branch’s activities, the greater the wealth of contacts, resources and information — including particulars (e.g., workshops) tied to securing LEED accreditation — that are available to you.
