Bring a bagged lunch, earn CEU credit and learn about Environmental labeling for LEED projects!

This program will provide an overview of some of the different environmental labeling standards and rules that can be used to evaluate products in LEED projects.  The basis of this presentation is to touch on the various certification programs and the benchmarks available in evaluating product design and manufacturing of sustainable products.

This presentation will count for one hour of CEU for HSW under IDCEC.

About the Instructor:

Olga G. Alvarez, ASID, IIDA, LEED-AP, is the principal of PCS, LLC. She’s been extremely active in the local environmental movement and was previously on the Board of Directors of the USGBC-South Florida chapter as well as its past-President. Her LEED Accreditation (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) provides clients the support on projects seeking this certification which conforms to the rating system set up by the USGBC (U.S.Green Building Council).

Growing up in South Florida, Olga attended Florida International University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in interior design (was awarded scholarship for Student Merit) and continued to pursue some graduate studies in Construction Management. Over the past several years, she’s developed extensive resources for design development of projects with her experience and knowledge base of products and materials.
